11 Reasons I Love Blogging And How It Has Influenced My Life

I started my blog roughly two years ago when I fell in love with the online space and wanted to put my creativity to work. By no means has my blogging journey been easy. I often felt like quitting and staying in my comfort zone. But deep within me, I knew I wanted more out of life. And blogging was where I needed to start my online journey. I stuck with it, and my love for blogging has grown. In today’s post, I share 11 reasons I love blogging and how it has influenced my life and may impact yours.

A beautiful day outside in a patio. A laptop sitting on a porch table open with beautiful bring pink flowers in the background. Reasons I Love blogging.

This post was originally published in May 2021 and was updated on July 28, 2022.

I’m someone who leads with her heart and is passionate about helping and supporting others. My mission is to help “do-it-all” moms to ditch the paradigm – they need to put everyone’s needs in front of theirs to build a happy family unit.

I want to see moms living their dreams, embracing their ambitions without guilt while raising happy little humans. And blogging allows me to create content that can empower mothers to take action and focus on building themselves up.

After nearly two years of blogging. I’m so grateful that I stuck with it. I tuned the naysayers out and kept the focus on my goal. Had I given up, I would not be the woman and mother I am today.

If you are thinking of starting a blog today. I encourage you to get started, have tenacity and be patient. Blogging is not an overnight success, It takes time, and every blogger’s journey will vary.

Here is a list of reasons I love blogging.

11 Reasons I Love Blogging

1. Inspire and support other moms

We can use our voices to empower and enrich others. Or, we can use our voices to beray, humiliate and tear down others.

I love blogging because it gives me a platform to encourage and motivate the many mothers who feel alone, constantly doubt themselves, and have to deal with toxic relationships.

Through blogging, I can now create content that inspires moms to tune out others and focus on themselves, strengthening their self-worth and loving themselves unconditionally.

2. Growth mindset Vs. fixed mindset

Blogging has allowed me to increase my knowledge not only on topics I write about. But things that are happening around me.

As I mentioned earlier, I felt like giving up many times on my blogging journey. I tried hard to convince myself that blogging wasn’t for me and that maybe the critics were right.

“Blogging is dead.”

But it’s not!

Blogging is well and thriving said the growth mindset. And so it was! Blogging has proven to me that if I choose the, I can’t attitude. Then I won’t be able to do it or achieve what I want. But the moment I flip that I can’t into, I can. I’m able to do it and achieve what I want.

3. I’m always learning as a blogger

As a projector, I love learning new things. Blogging allows me to invest in myself and learn something new continuously.

Whether that is learning how to create beautiful printables or how to start, grow and scale an Etsy shop. Understanding SEO and marketing skills.

Over the past couple of years, I have invested in many programs that have entirely influenced my life.

Here’s a list of some of the programs I have completed within the last two years.

Had I not been blogging, I would not have learned so much about the online space and marketing, No wonder I love blogging as much as I do.

4. An opportunity to make money

While – it’s possible to earn money online. It does take work! A lot of work!

Blogging is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes a lot of trial and error. Implementing strategies and seeing what works and what doesn’t work.

I started my blog with a mission to inspire other moms on their self-discovery journey, which will always be my focus.

But at the same time, I’m pretty impressed by all those amazing bloggers who are making impacts in the life of others while creating an income and building their brands.

Now, I can do the same and earn an income while supporting others and doing what I love.

5. Blogging allowed me to build my brand

Blogging helps you gain authority. The more you speak and write about specific topics, the more you become the go-to person. The blogger everyone comes to when they have a question relating to your niche.

When you gain authority – you can build a community of like-minded individuals. Individuals who will learn to know, like, and trust you. Making it easier for you to transform your blog into something more. Like course creations or creating your digital products, all while giving back to others.

6. There’s so much flexibility with blogging

As moms, we all want flexibility. Blogging allows me to work from anywhere in the world, including the comfort of my sofa.

Today, as I wrote this post – I was able to do so while sitting on my deck, watching my two kids jump on their trampoline and having endless fun in the backyard.

This is a dream come true for me. And I’m sure it will also be a dream come true for you.

The many more reasons why you should start a blog.

Put in the effort and constantly learn ways to improve your blog and make money.

With blogging, you can choose how many hours you want to work, when you want to work, and where you want to work from.

This will not happen overnight, but you can get there by implementing the right strategies in no time.

7. Blogging allows me to commit to my personal growth

We are never too old to grow and learn new things! I love learning and have always been open-minded to learning new things.

One of my favorite mantras is that I am evolving with each passing day

My blog has allowed me to evolve in many aspects of my life. It has helped me eliminate noise from society, strengthen my self-worth through self-love and stay true to myself.

I see my blog as my happy place. A place where – I get to be me and share my wisdom with many women throughout the world.

Because I’m constantly sharing life hacks and tips and encouraging moms to commit to their growth means, I thrive to do the same in my own life. I’m not striving for perfection but rather to live my destiny imperfectly and be happy. And that’s what this blog allows me to do!

8. I love blogging because it allows me to tap into my creative side

Through blogging, I have learned to become more creative in one way or the other.

I can now create beautiful digital wall art, planners, and journals which I can either sell on my Etsy shop or use as a freebie to gift to my community or market my blog.

9. To be my authentic self

Blogging has given me this gift where I can be true to myself. I can now do the things I enjoy – without feeling pressure to be someone I am not. Or look for validation from others.

I have learned to appreciate who I am and who I am becoming through blogging—embracing all of the parts that make me, ME.

Taking the time to focus on my needs, wants, and ambitions without feeling guilty or worrying about receiving critics from someone.

While there are many qualities I’m grateful for, there are still many things I’m working on.

“As long as we have a growth mindset, there’s always going to be room for improvement.”

10. A passion that has transformed my life

The sky is the limit when it comes to blogging.

There are endless possibilities and opportunities to grow into something bigger.

Many successful female entrepreneurs started with a blog and evolved into coaches, course creators, or creative entrepreneurs.

Blogging can create that for you. You can take hobby blogging and transform it into a multi-passionate business if that’s your dream.

Once you’ve implemented strategies and mastered the art of blogging, you can consider teaching blogging to transform many’s lives. Making an impact in the lives of people who you once were.

And that’s what blogging has done for me. It has allowed me to use my expertise and life transformation to support moms who were once like me.

11. Blogging is like therapy

It allows you to share your thoughts and makes you feel accomplished and inspired to keep writing. Sometimes, I view blogging as self-care because it relaxes me and makes me feel good. It fulfills and fuels me as a woman and mom.

As moms, wouldn’t it be nice to have a hobby that can eventually become a career when your kids get older?

Blogging as a hobby can bring you so many benefits. To begin with, it can support you mentally, helping you feel belong, and connected as you share your stories or views. Blogging as a hobby can also:

  • improve your creativity
  • help you reduce stress
  • allows you to give back by supporting your readers with valuable information
  • help you land your dream career as a mom
  • provides additional income
  • allow you to meet and collaborate with amazing people

What does it take to run a successful blog?

A lady with her legs on her desk looking towards you happyily. She loves blogging.

While it’s true that the sky is the limit when it comes to blogging, it does take a lot of work like anything else in life!

What you put into your blog is what you will receive. If you are hobby blogging, you can do it whenever you please. After all, it’s a hobby meant to be fun, not stressful.

However, be willing to do the work if you choose to make money from blogging.

For it to work, you must do the work!

To run a successful blog, you must commit to showing up even when you don’t feel like it.

You need to be willing to learn techy stuff (which is not rocket science).

It takes trial and error, implementing strategies, and choosing the best ones for you. It takes dedication, consistency, and persistence. And most importantly, time.

Don’t expect to see success overnight. It’s just not how it works. I’m saying this so you know what it takes to make money from blogging. It takes a lot of work and effort.

But it sure is doable.
